omen by hp laptop 17-cb1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i turned off my omen laptop for an extended period of time - 5 days - booted it and the backlite does not work - i down loaded the updated bios - the backlite worked until the laptop went into sleep mode - i have tried the omen control panel - does not work - tried the FN/F4 keys does not work - my other F keys work fine - i like to work in the dark so i need to backlite to work -  suggestions?

I do all the monthly windows 10 updates - I do not know if this is an issue

If your LCD backlight is not working please consider the possibility of the LCD not lighting up because of the blown fuse on your laptop's motherboard.  make sure not to plug it in upside down: it will not work, and you may short the pins, and your LCD may get damaged.

I figured out the issue but not a work around - the last windows update added I guess a NIGHT TIME feature - if I have the night time feature on - I can get the back lite to work during the night time window - turn the feature off or be outside of the so called night time - the back lite does not work no matter what i do - Dell has added additional button to it windows feature screen to get around this but I do not see the same for HP following the videos i found
