Hi I have the omen 17 and I turned it on all seemed fine at first then it froze and wouldn't do anything so I held the power button in to turn it of. I noticed before that the battery was running low so I plugged in the charger before trying to turn it on again but when I turned it on the screen wouldn't light up it was just black the keyboard lit up and there is a flashing light on the caps lock key and I can hear the fans going just no screen.
I tried plugging it into a tv to see if I could get a picture nothing, I also tried holding in the power button for 10 seconds nothing even pressing esc while powering on still nothing.
Thanks in advance hope you can help

Hi @guinesslady
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the boot issue.
Let's try these steps to perform a power reset -
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.
3) Remove the Battery.
4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.
5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer.
6) Try to turn on the computer.
If the issue still persists, try restoring the BIOS -
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK
