@webmaster_c, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Based on the image and your description, the issue you're facing on your Victus by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop (16-d0000 series) running Windows 11 is related to optimization failures, specifically when trying to delete temporary and prefetch files. The error message:

"The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)"

indicates that a required system module or DLL file is missing or corrupted.

Here's how to resolve this issue step-by-step:

Run System File Checker (SFC)

This tool scans and repairs missing or corrupted system files.

  1. Press Windows + S, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.
  2. In the Command Prompt, type:sfc /scannow
  3. Press Enter and wait for the scan to complete. It may take several minutes.

Use DISM Tool (if SFC doesn't fix it)

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator again.
  2. Run the following commands one by one:DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

These commands will check and repair the Windows image.

Manually Clear Temporary and Prefetch Files

If the optimization tool fails, you can do it manually:

  1. Press Windows + R, type temp, and press Enter. Delete all files.
  2. Again, press Windows + R, type %temp%, and press Enter. Delete all files.
  3. Press Windows + R, type prefetch, and press Enter. Delete all files.

Enable Storage Sense (Recommended by HP)

  1. Go to Settings > System > Storage.
  2. Click Storage Sense and toggle it On.
  3. Configure it to automatically delete temporary files and manage disk space.

Update HP Support Assistant

Make sure your HP Support Assistant is up to date, as it manages optimization tasks. HP Support Assistant | HP® Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
