Hi @himanshu_pilwal,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your Victus laptop shuts down suddenly whenever you try to open a game. Let’s go through a few checks to see what might be causing this:

1. Check for Overheating

Gaming is resource-intensive, and overheating can trigger a shutdown to protect the system.

Ensure the laptop is on a hard, flat surface with good ventilation.

Clean air vents with compressed air if dusty.

Consider using a cooling pad for longer gaming sessions.

2. Update Graphics & BIOS Drivers

Open HP Support Assistant and check for updates.

Ensure your NVIDIA/AMD graphics drivers are up to date (via GeForce Experience or AMD Adrenalin).

Install the latest BIOS update from the HP Support site.

3. Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

Turn off the laptop.

Power on and immediately press Esc → F2 to open System Diagnostics.

Run the System Test (especially Memory and Hard Drive tests).

This will confirm if hardware is working properly.

4. Check Power & Battery

Always game while connected to the original HP power adapter.

If the battery is faulty, the system may cut off under heavy load.

5. Windows Power & Performance Settings

In Windows search, type Power & Sleep settings → Additional power settings.

Set to High Performance or Best Performance in Windows 11.

Disable fast startup: Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power button does → Uncheck “Turn on fast startup.”

I hope this helps.
