Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

I would be glad to help you with the issue you are facing today. I understand the difficulty with the problem.

The most common cause of overheating is the accumulation of dust inside the laptop.  For more information on reducing heat inside your computer, see Reducing Heat Inside the PC

I would recommend please update the system bios.  BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629

Also, you can change the visual settings. Here's how you do it:

  • Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.

  • Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.

  • In the new window, go to the Visual Effects and select Adjust for best performance.

  • click Apply and ok...this should do the trick.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi i there is something that i cant understand with my computer whike gaming and i need some help.

i bought the computer 3 month ago and everything was greate while gaming(fifa 19 on high), the heat was between 78-80c

always, after a month my omen started to heat to 87-92 c while gaming the same game with same settings(fifa 19 high) until today.

I spoke with hp israel but they didnt solve my issue and it is very dissappointig to see that after just 2 mobth the heat incrrase like that, this is th problem.

Now yesterday i looked in to the power options of the battery and went to edit plan on advence settings,

and this what i cant understand, as i looked in the maximum processor state it was on 100% on both plugged in and unplugged, then i chande it to 70% precent and the heat decrease in 30c  while gaming but the gaming was a little bit lower  which it make sense, but after chaging it couple of times i put it on 99% and the gaming was maybe an inch diffrent  then in 100% but the heat was only on 65-68c what i cant understand is how this 1% making such huge diffrence on the  tempreature levels , and my question is how can i solve this problem and play on 100%.

Tnx for everything Dan.

  • Have you tried with different games or application?
  • Does the computer heat up while watching movies or videos?
  • Have you tried changing the game graphic and display settings?
