Hi @Oziii

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If Quiet mode on your HP Victus 15 is now louder than Default mode, the Omen Gaming Hub may be misconfigured or corrupted. A clean reset of the app and system settings usually restores proper fan behavior.

Here’s how to fix it:

1. Reset Omen Gaming Hub Settings

Corrupted profiles can cause fan curves to behave unpredictably.

  • Open Omen Gaming Hub.
  • Go to Performance Control > Modes.
  • Switch to Default, then back to Quiet.
  • If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app:
    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
    • Uninstall Omen Gaming Hub and Omen SDK Package.
    • Reboot your laptop.
    • Reinstall from the Microsoft Store.

2. Update BIOS and System Drivers

Outdated firmware can interfere with thermal profiles.

3. Check BIOS Fan Settings

Some Victus models allow fan behavior customization in BIOS.

  • Restart your laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.
  • Look for Thermal Configuration or Fan Always On.
  • Disable “Fan Always On” if enabled, and save changes.

4. Run HP Diagnostics

To rule out hardware faults:

  • Use the HP App to run a System Diagnostics scan.
  • Focus on Thermal and Performance tests.

If Quiet mode still runs louder than expected, it may be using a more aggressive cooling curve due to recent firmware changes. You can manually adjust fan behavior using Custom Mode in Omen Gaming Hub, setting lower fan speeds for light workloads.

Let me know how it responds after these steps—I’ll help fine-tune it further if needed.
