Hello,
I have been complaining about something for a while now. I bought the computer last year. There was no problem when I first bought it. But in recent months I noticed that the computer freezes while typing. For example, when I try to type, the cursor freezes. Nothing is written, and then it suddenly enters the characters I typed quickly! I use an external keyboard, but this problem occurs even when using a standard laptop keyboard. Also, this problem does not occur only for writing. Because of lagging in my keyboard i cant use video games like league of legends etc. because characters do not listen my command because there is annoying lag!
ow can I solve this problem? I am about to be regret for choosing HP for PC.

Hi @bukolean2
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing freezing and lag issues with your Victus by HP laptop. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
Update Drivers:
- Go to Device Manager (right-click the Start button).
- Expand Keyboards and update the drivers for both the laptop and external keyboard.
- Also, check for updates for your graphics card under Display adapters.
Check for Background Processes:
- Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and look for any applications that are using excessive CPU or memory.
- End any unnecessary processes that might be causing lag.
Disable Startup Programs:
- In Task Manager, go to the Startup tab and disable any non-essential programs that start with Windows.
Scan for Malware:
- Run a full system scan using Windows Defender or a trusted antivirus program to rule out malware as a cause.
Adjust Power Settings:
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options and set it to High performance to ensure your laptop is running optimally.
Check for Windows Updates:
- Ensure that your Windows operating system is fully updated, as updates can include important performance fixes.
Perform a Clean Boot:
- This can help identify if background services are causing the lag. Follow the instructions on the Microsoft support site for performing a clean boot.
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
