Hi @AhmedJabar3129,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To determine if the battery of your used HP Victus laptop has been changed, you can follow these steps.
- Check the battery cycle count: The battery cycle count indicates the number of times the battery has been charged and discharged. On Windows, you can find this information through the HP Support Assistant or by accessing the BIOS settings. In the BIOS, navigate to the Power or Battery section, where you might find the cycle count mentioned.
- Compare the cycle count with the laptop's age: If the laptop is relatively new, having only three battery cycles might indicate that the battery has been recently replaced. However, if the laptop is significantly older, it's less likely that the battery has been changed.
- Check the battery's wear level: Battery wear level indicates the deterioration of the battery's capacity over time. You can use third-party software such as HWMonitor, BatteryInfoView, or HWiNFO to assess the wear level of the battery. These tools provide detailed information about the battery health, wear percentage, and capacity.
- Verify the battery's serial number: Some laptops have a unique serial number assigned to each battery. You can cross-check the serial number of the installed battery with the original battery associated with the laptop model. The battery's serial number can usually be found on the battery itself or within the BIOS settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
