OMEN X by HP 2S 15-dg0027tx
I have been having issues with the keyboard on this device. It started with the background lighting initially. The background lighting would turn off randomly and I was unable to turn it on using the keyboard fn key and F4 keys or change it with the Omen gaming hub. I searched online for a solution and found one that said to change the keyboard driver to an alternate one then restart the computer. This has worked fine until recently when I tried it and when I restarted the device the keyboard does not work at all except for the fn key and functions. The lighting is fine now no issues. I tried a restart, tried keyboard driver update, deleted all keyboard drivers and restarted, reset bios to default settings and restarted. All have failed to fix the keyboard. I ran the HP diagnostic for the keyboard and all the keys worked with no issues so i'm guessing its a software issue. I downloaded the keyboard driver from HP and manually installed it and restarted still no luck. sticky keys etc are turned off and the language is set to english. Is a factory reset my only option at this point? Any help would be greatly appreciated
