Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you are facing an issue with one of the keys on your laptop keyboard. Not to worry I will help you to resolve the issue.
I suggest you follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
Open the Component Tests menu in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
Use the following instructions to open the Component Tests menu.
Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu is displayed, press the f2 key.
On the main menu, click Component Tests.
The Component Tests menu is displayed > Select keyboard from the list > then select the compact layout and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm the hardware is working fine.
If the key is not working on the keyboard test that confirms there is an issue with the keyboard.
