There is SO much misinformation and bad advice from the so called experts on this forum it defies belief!

For what it's worth I have the hp-omen-17-w200na (which is exactly the same as yours bar some hard drive config) and I have 2 x 16GB running just fine.

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-16GBx2-PC4-19200-Unbuffered-260-Pin/dp/B019FRCV9G/

This is what I have, runs perfectly.

I have other issues with the "advice" on here so I may pop up again, but I just HAD to register when I saw the "answer" to your query.

Hi! @savvito, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand you needed to know the maximum memory supported on your PC.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

I have checked the specifications of your PC and according to the records, the maximum memory support on your PC is 16GB.

There are two memory slots on your PC and you have to use two 8GB memory stick in each memory slot to make it to 16GB.

Refer the product specifications of your PC using this link.

Please find the part number for memory stick listed below.

Part Number - 862398-850  8 GB 2400 MHz DDR4

You can order the part from HP parts store using this link.

Hope this answers your query!

Take Care! 🙂

Do you think it is possible to upgrade for 17-w273nr (with memory door, does yours have it?. Because there are 2 different manuals, with and without memory door). I am just worried because the manual says that the max ram is 16GB. Crucial only sells 8gb modules for this model but kingston says the max is 32GB here https://www.kingstonmemoryshop.co.uk/laptop/hp/omen-17-w2-series/hp-omen-17-w273nr-laptop

I see. Does your laptop have a memory service door? I just want to make sure that your motherboard is the same as mine. My laptop is an i7-7700HQ, gtx 1070

Yes, it does.

The only difference between your laptop and mine is the hard drive configuration (and yours had 16GB installed vs my 8GB).

I see. Ok thank you so much!
