HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi good day,

so i have a HP PAVILION GAMING - 15-ec0013dx. and have bought a HP 25x monitor for my gaming. but when i connect the monitor using HDMI cord i started getting BSOD( STOP CODE: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION= NVLDDMKM.SYS) when playing a specific game and doing multiple windows on my browser. but when playing another specific game it's all good to go and working just fine. but when ALT+TAB it's going to do the BOSD again. I really need help for this. I bought a DISPLAY PORT to USB-C cord because that's a solution that i saw in some forums and didn't work. please i really really need help. thank you

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the external display and you are getting bluescreen errors.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Have you installed the monitor driver?

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

I did update my bios and all the drivers for my graphics card. still having the issue.

i was thinking is it possible to solve my problem if i upgrade my ram? i have an 8gb in one slot so if i put another 8 on the other slot is it possible to support dual monitor for it?

@looneytoonssss

Thank you for posting back.

  • Have you checked the display in BIOS environment?

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside windows, it would confirm a hardware failure.

If the issue does not  persist in BIOS, then follow next steps.
Perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant: (do not skip any troubleshooting steps if you feel steps are repeating)

To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.

  1. To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon https://support.hp.com/doc-images/932/c05040382.jpg.
  2. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  3. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  4. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  5. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  6. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
