Hi @manan_rami,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Omen 16 keyboard’s comma ( , ) key is not working. Let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot this.

Check for Physical Obstruction

Power off your laptop.

Gently remove the keycap (if you’re comfortable) and check for dust, dirt, or debris under the key.

Clean using compressed air or a soft brush, then reattach the keycap.

Test with On-Screen Keyboard

Press Windows + R, type osk, and press Enter to open the On-Screen Keyboard.

Try pressing the comma key on the on-screen keyboard.

If it works here, the issue is likely hardware.

If it doesn’t work, it could be software or driver-related.

Check Keyboard Layout & Settings

Go to Settings → Time & Language → Language → Keyboard.

Make sure your layout is set to the correct English (US) or your preferred layout.

Update Keyboard Drivers

Open Device Manager → Keyboards.

Right-click your keyboard → Update driver → Search automatically.

Restart your laptop after updating.

Test in BIOS

Restart the laptop and press Esc or F10 to enter BIOS.

Try typing using the comma key.

If it doesn’t work in BIOS, it’s hardware-related.

External Keyboard Test

Connect an external USB keyboard.

If the comma key works on the external keyboard, it confirms the built-in keyboard is faulty.

I hope this helps.
