Hi @mounodip
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue with your HP OMEN Transcend 16's left speaker. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem:
1. Check Balance Settings
- Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
- Go to the Playback tab and double-click on your speakers.
- Navigate to the Levels tab and click Balance. Ensure both left and right channels are set to the same level.
2. Run Audio Troubleshooter
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Playing Audio and run the troubleshooter.
3. Disable Audio Enhancements
- Right-click on the sound icon in the taskbar and select Sounds.
- Go to the Playback tab and double-click on your speakers.
- Navigate to the Enhancements tab and check Disable all enhancements.
- Click Apply and OK.
4. Reinstall Audio Drivers
- Open Device Manager by pressing Windows + X.
- Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
- Right-click on the Realtek audio device and select Uninstall device.
- Check the box that says Delete the driver software for this device.
- Restart your laptop, and Windows will reinstall the drivers automatically.
5. Test with External Speakers/Headphones
- Connect external speakers or headphones to check if the issue is isolated to the internal speaker.
6. Reset BIOS Settings
- Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly to access the Startup Menu.
- Select F10 to enter BIOS Setup and reset the BIOS to default settings.
