OMEN 15 ek0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Recently bought the hp omen 15 2020 (intel) laptop, and it worked great! However, for some reason, I now cannot control my fans through the omen command center. Before, I could crank the fans all the way to max before a game, and my thermals would sit at a nice 75-ish degrees c. Now however, everytime I select the max option in fan control, nothing happens. When I play  a game, the cpu goes up to 100 degrees c, and stays like that for 10 minutes, as the fans continue to go up in small increments. The fan speed to start with was incredibally slow, and takes a while for it to really start moving air. 100 deg. c is no joke, very hot and unhealthy for the cpu, so does anyone have a fix? Controlling fans is kinda essential on gaming laptops, and it's unfortinute that omen command center stopped working. Now for some backstory, this started happening after I updated my bios through the product page for my laptop on HP's website. I updated every single other driver shortly after too, and still no luck. I un-installed and re-installed omen command center, and no luck. Please help me out!!! Thanks

I had similar issues. Try downgrading to BIOS version F.01 Rev.A available on your driver support page.

The F.02 combined with an updated Command Center broke the fans on my 15-ek0003na (10750h - RTX2060)

I am using F.01 with "Fans Always On" disabled in the BIOS. Now I have total silence while browsing but have to change the "Fans Always On" to enabled and Graphics Switcher set to "Discrete" in Omen Command Center and restart. This gives me some control over the fans when gaming but the MANUAL mode is still broken in Command Center.

Basically, I'm not impressed with needing these workarounds and having these software issues on an otherwise really good laptop.

@Cheese4life_ Hi, please roll back to F.01 BIOS, seems the F.02 BIOS has some problem of fan controlling, the F.01 version works well.

The latest BIOS version will be available soon. Thanks.
