@MADBAD, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

You're experiencing an issue where pressing an alphabet key + space on your Victus by HP 15.6" Gaming Laptop running Windows 11 brings up special characters like ∈ ∃ ∄ ∉ ĕ. This is likely due to "Math AutoCorrect" or Alternative Input Methods being enabled.

Here’s how to fix it step by step:

Disable Math AutoCorrect in Microsoft Office

Even if you're not using Office at the moment, Math AutoCorrect can still be active in the background for some applications.

Open Word (or any Office app).

Go to File > Options.

Select Proofing > Click on AutoCorrect Options...

Go to the Math AutoCorrect tab.

Uncheck:

“Replace text as you type”

(Optional) Uncheck “Use Math AutoCorrect rules outside of math regions” if enabled.

Click OK to close all windows.

Check Input Language / Keyboard Layout

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.

Under Preferred Languages, click on your current language (e.g., English), and choose Options.

Make sure you only have the US QWERTY keyboard or your preferred layout.

Remove any unusual layouts like US International, Math Input, or any foreign language keyboards.

Restart your computer.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
