q key stopped working suddenly, tried all solutions online.. such as power restart, bios restart, cleaning the key, updating software etc etc. pls help

Do you have a USB external keyboard to test with? 

It sounds like your q key has failed physically. The keyboard would have to be physically replaced on the laptop.

Its not going to be worth the cost, so you might have to resort to the USB keyboard instead.

 

Your profiles says you're in India, but that model number was sold in the United Arab Emirates. So I don't know what language your keyboard has as I cannot find the exact keyboard sold in the UAE.

I can only find the keyboard for US English.

Here is the part number... 929478-001 and the keyboard will include the entire surrounding cover and touch-pad.

It will most likely only be sold in the HP Parts Surfer, but I have no way of knowing what countries it can be ordered from.
