Yes, it is real, but if you follow his steps you will automatically void the warranty since it's not an official fix and you would be classified as tampering the software. That's why I'm refraining from using such solution.

Since when voiding the warranty means breaking something? I'm pretty sure that if you flash a custom BIOS or a BIOS that wasn't meant for your laptop qualifies as tampering your device, even if the laptop works normally after flashing. Hell, to some extent, even replacing some components might even void your warranty. Go check your warranty contract, it'll enlighten you.

BIOS F.10 has released. Please try installing it to resolve the shutdown issue. We strongly recommend you to upgrade to BIOS F.10 rather than downgrading it to F.05
