Hi @harshul12,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing screen flickering issues with your Victus by HP 15.6-inch gaming laptop, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to address the problem.

  • Update graphics drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause screen flickering. Visit the official HP website or the manufacturer's support page to download and install the latest graphics drivers for your laptop model.
  • Adjust screen refresh rate: Sometimes, a high refresh rate can cause flickering issues. Right-click on the desktop, select "Display settings," and go to the "Advanced display settings" option. Adjust the screen refresh rate to a lower value, such as 60Hz, and see if the flickering improves.
  • Disable adaptive brightness: Adaptive brightness settings can sometimes interfere with the display, causing flickering. To disable this feature, go to "Control Panel," select "Power Options," and click on "Change plan settings" for your current power plan. Then, choose "Change advanced power settings," expand the "Display" category, and disable the "Enable adaptive brightness" option.
  • Check the display cable: If you're using an external monitor, check the cable connections for any loose connections or damage. Try using a different cable or connecting to a different display to see if the flickering persists.
  • Run a hardware diagnostic test: Some laptops have built-in diagnostic tools that can help identify hardware issues. Check your laptop's user manual or HP's support website to find instructions on how to run a hardware diagnostic test. This can help determine if the flickering is caused by a hardware problem.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
