ssd replacement

Hello 

I would like to replace on my OMEN 17 HP Laptop -an199nf 

the actual SSD LITEON CA3-8D128-HP with PCIE Gen 3x4 Interface by a SAMSUNG 860 EVO V-NAND SSD SATA M.2 with B&M connector.

Does the mother boaord connector can support SSD with B&M connector ?

Hi:

The service manual (chapter 1), does not indicate that SATA M.2 SSD's are supported.

NB_MSG_Marlins_1_1_931983-002 (hp.com)

A SATA M.2 2280 SSD will certainly fit in the existing slot, but whether it will work or not is a different story.
