Hi @anirbansir,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Victus 15-fa1321TX laptop touchpad is not working after reinstalling Windows 11. Let’s go through some steps to restore functionality.

1. Check Touchpad Settings

Press Windows + I → Devices → Touchpad.

Ensure the Touchpad is turned ON.

Check sensitivity settings and gestures to confirm proper configuration.

2. Check Device Manager

Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Mice and other pointing devices.

Look for Synaptics, ELAN, or HID-compliant touchpad.

If missing or showing a yellow warning icon:

Right-click → Update driver → Search automatically.

If it fails, proceed to manually install the driver (see step 3).

3. Install HP Precision Touchpad Driver

Go to the HP Support site for your Victus 15-fa1321TX model.

Download and install the latest touchpad driver compatible with Windows 11.

Restart the laptop after installation.

4. Check BIOS Settings

Restart the laptop and press F10 to enter BIOS setup.

Navigate to Advanced → Device Options → Internal Pointing Device and make sure it is Enabled.

Save and exit BIOS, then restart.

5. Perform a Hard Reset

Turn off the laptop and unplug the power adapter.

Press and hold the power button for 15–20 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect power and turn on the laptop.

6. Test External Factors

If an external mouse is connected, unplug it and test the touchpad.

Ensure there’s no dirt or moisture on the touchpad surface.

I hope this helps.
