Hi @Alext16,

I understand your Victus 16 isn’t allowing you to enter BIOS or boot menu after updating to BIOS version 30A, although Windows 11 starts properly. Let’s go through a few steps to address this.

a. Try a Full Power Reset

Shut down the laptop completely.

Disconnect the charger and any external devices (USB drives, controllers, phones).

Press and hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try pressing Esc, F10, or F9 during boot.

b. Use Windows to Access BIOS

Press Windows + I > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now.

On the next screen, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware Settings > Restart.

This should take you directly into BIOS even if the hotkeys aren’t working.

c. Reset BIOS via CMOS (If Safe & Comfortable)

Turn off the laptop, disconnect charger, and remove battery if removable.

Open the bottom cover (follow HP Maintenance Guide).

Locate the CMOS battery and carefully remove it for 2–3 minutes, then reinsert.

Reconnect power and try booting with F10/Esc/F9 again.

d. Recover BIOS Using HP Crisis Recovery

Prepare a USB drive formatted as FAT32.

Download the latest BIOS for your exact model from HP’s site.

Rename the BIOS file according to HP recovery instructions (usually a .bin or .fd file; check readme).

Turn off the laptop, plug in the USB, hold Windows + B, then press Power and keep holding Windows + B for 2–3 seconds.

The BIOS recovery utility should start and re-flash the BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Many thanks. The reason of problem was USB adapter for wireless mouse. After its removing I mannaged to enter BIOS. Strange but on BIOS 29A it worked properly.
