Hi @abhisaxena,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP Victus 15-fb0xxx laptop shows a blinking power light, and the battery isn’t charging. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.
a. Check Power Source
- Ensure the wall outlet is working by plugging in another device (like a lamp or phone charger).
- If using a surge protector or extension cord, try connecting the laptop directly to the wall outlet.
b. Verify Charger & Connection
- Make sure the charger is firmly connected to the laptop and the wall outlet.
- Inspect the charger and cable for damage, unusual heat, or loose connections.
- If possible, try a different compatible charger to see if the battery charges.
c. Power Button Reset
- Hold the power button for 10–15 seconds to drain any residual power.
- Release and press it once again to try turning on the laptop.
d. Check Battery Indicator
- Look at the battery LED on the laptop:
- Blinking amber usually indicates a battery issue or that it’s not charging.
- If the laptop works on AC power but the battery isn’t charging, the battery may need recalibration or replacement.
e. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the laptop and unplug the charger.
- Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
- Plug in only the charger (no battery removal needed if internal) and turn on the laptop.
f. Battery Health Check
- Open HP Support Assistant → Battery Check to see if the battery is failing.
- If it shows errors or poor health, the battery may need replacement.
I hope this helps.
