@Shreeyash1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Battery Issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I can help guide you through identifying the issue with your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop and provide steps for a hard reset, which might help in case the battery is not functioning properly.

Identifying the Battery Issue

Check Battery Health:

  • Confirm whether the battery is indeed dead by checking the battery health using HP Support Assistant. This tool can help diagnose potential issues with your battery and system.

Inspect Battery:

  • Make sure the battery is properly seated and connected if you can access it easily.
  • Confirm the battery is charging when the laptop is plugged in. If it’s not, there might be an issue with the charger or power port.

Steps for a Hard Reset

Performing a hard reset can sometimes resolve issues related to power and connectivity.

Turn Off the Laptop:

  • Ensure the laptop is completely powered down.

Disconnect All External Devices:

  • Unplug the AC adapter and remove any peripheral devices.

Remove the Battery:

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out.

Press and Hold the Power Button:

  • Hold down the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge residual power from the laptop.

Reattach the Battery:

  • Put the battery back in place if it was removed.

Reconnect the AC Adapter:

  • Plug the AC adapter back and try to turn on the laptop.

If the battery is indeed dead and needs replacement, you can order a new battery from the official HP Parts website

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
