what ram and hdd can the HP 15-dc1005na Gaming Laptop im wanting to upgrade the 2.5 hdd and the ram I have 8 gb the now but don't know what ram is safe to ues in the laptop im wanting to upgrade to 32gb of ram

Hello @robopauldat,

 

The OMEN by HP 15-dc1005na supports a max of 32GB of DDR4-2666 RAM. (2*16GB)

 

In terms of an M.2 drive, it'll support an NVMe drive. 

 

Your Maintenance and Service Guide is here with spare part numbers you can use in the HP Parts Store here. You may also be able to find it elsewhere on the Internet.

 

Crucial also has options here.

Unfortunately no, it's a 15mm hard drive while the max thickness your computer supports is 9.5mm. 4TB, however, is supported by the GUID partition table, which your computer should support.

 

From my memory, the market doesn't offer 4TB hard drives that are thinner than 15mm. Perhaps you could look at some 2TB hard drives instead or just consider in investing in an external hard drive.
