x360 laptop hinge completely broken and nearly unusable

the hinge on the left side of my laptop has now completely snapped and popped out of its case.  when i close the laptop the broken hinge and jagged corner piece jut out and make it hard to put the laptop to sleep upon closing.  the case is brittle and has cracked at other points that it is impossible for me to have damaged and is undoubtedly a result of shoddy product.  it is only one year out of warranty and i have been seemingly punished for that by being sent through the same loop over and over from one webpage to another attempting to make contact to repair this.  i should not have to spend a cent on repairing this given it is clearly an ongoing HP issue that has been deliberately ignored and not been solved for many users based off of how many identical posts there are to mine.  i do not even utilize the 360 feature of the laptop so i cannot imagine how much faster this would have happened if i did (which for the record i should be able to utilize my computer within full functionality that i purchased it for and not worry about the garbage plastic casing snapping and breaking).

i need this laptop for my work and education and find it insane how unreachable the correct channels for repair seem to be.  i don't appreciate the runaround from support, i don't want to waste my time being told on the phone nothing can be done, i want my laptop fixed for a problem i definitely did not create by using a laptop normally for only around two years.  not to mention the plethora of other issues regarding the poor build of this laptop (overheating, plastic case constantly needing to be popped back into place, poor touchpad quality, poor keyboard quality, etc, etc).  seriously regretting ever making this purchase given how horrible the product experience and support experience has been after trying my best to make it work over only 2 years of ownership.
