HP laptop wipe restoration

Product Name: m6-k010dx
I had my computer wiped for viruses and personally security, but now whenever I try to boot it up with a windows iso on a memory stick, it deletes the OS and won't boot up. What exactly operating system do I need for this laptop to restore it, and how do I go about doing so?

Re: HP laptop wipe restoration

You cant install a Windows .iso, it needs to be extracted/expanded onto a DVD/USB.

Is there an F11 option?  Can you explain what was wiped and how?

Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F11 key, about once every second,
until the Choose an option screen is displayed, and then continue.

On the Choose an Option screen, click Troubleshoot, and work your way through the screens.

Expand/Extract/Burn the iso Image onto a DVD/USB as needed.
Microsoft’s Creator Tool will make the required DVD or USB.

Was there any software installed to protect from external threats?
