HP Office Jet 6970

Apparently, the wireless feature has been disabled on my printer and it tells me to contact who set up the printer.

I set up the printer and is has been working fine until yesterday.  I have tried everything to get it to reconnect. Help!!!

Hi @dcchrhr

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the password issue.

Let's try these steps to restore the network settings to defaults -

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Network Setup.

3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.

4. Touch Yes

If the issue still persists, I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer.  Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I set up my HP printer a couple of years ago.  This morning the screen was black and now the printer is off line.

how do I get this working without having to set it up again.i turned the power off/on but didn’t make a difference.

Hi @Bradi

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try these steps -

1) Take out the cartridges.

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Wait for 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not to a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue still persists, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Have a great day!
