macOS 10.15 Catalina

My new black HP cartridge was working fine.  After several days, it now says that it's inserted incorrectly.  I haven't touched it at all. I've tried cleaning it, re-inserting it, unplugging it, restarting it..... nothing works.  Ideas?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the ink cartridge error. 

 

To better assist you - 

 

1.) May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

 

2.) Are you enrolled in the Instant Ink program? 

 

While you respond to that, let's try the steps mentioned in this document -  HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
