Good Afternoon,

I have installed HP Smart onto my computer and iPad when I go onto certain pages it ask for username and password, which I don't know how can I rectify this please.

Does this happen with both the devices? Where do you see this message? Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App.

Hi, 

Sorry forgot to get back to you, the problem occurs on my iMac Catalina computer, I bring up HP Smart on computer on the left is a list, in settings it has advanced settings, when I go into this, it has Energy Saving Mode, Web Services, Printer Update, Print Quality Toolbox, Wireless Setup Wizard, Wi-Fi Direct Air Print all of which are locked by administrator, Estimated CartridgeLevel and Network Summary are not locked. I don’t have this on iPad or iPhone.

Thank you for the response. We will have to reset the printer to its factory setting that will resolve this issue.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
