As I've read, many others have this same problem. After installing a new Wi-Fi Gateway for my Internet restoration, I am unable to print from my HP Officejet Pro 8610. Each time I attempt to access the printer, which it recognizes, but then I am asked for my password and I no longer have that. Please help.

Thank you

@Wolvman

Let me take a moment to thank you for posting on the HP Support Forums.

MKazi is at your service.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer. I read that after installing a new Wi-Fi Gateway, the printer does not print. The printer is recognized and it asks for the password. I'll be glad to assist you.

The default password is 12345678. If this password does not work then please continue with the below steps:

Let us restore the network defaults on the printer by following the below steps:

If the issue still persists then looks like the wireless direct is enabled on the printer. Please follow the below steps to turn off the wireless direct:

Now, you may run the wireless setup wizard on the printer to make it to connect to the wireless network:

Once the printer is connected to the wireless network, you may follow the steps from this HP document to print using Airprint: https://hp.care/2xy7i68

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted for further assistance.

Good luck!  🙂
