I've got Alexa to accept a voice command and the printer responds accordingly. The problem is it never stays this way. I either discover that my account becomes unlinked without my intervention and Alexa will say something about a printer not being set up yet. OR sometimes, like right now, I'll go and relink it again and the printer won't respond at all. But I've gotten it to work before so I just don't understand why it won't STAY connected.

@ChristoferK, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

This could be a communication issue between the devices, let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Also, check for any software updates available for the iOS device on which the Alexa app is installed.

Make sure the Alexa app is updated too.

Make sure all these devices are connected to the same wireless network.

  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.
  • Restart the router.

Once done, follow the steps mentioned in this document to Print with Amazon Alexa

Let me know how this goes.
