Hello,

Today I installed the HP Smart Android App on my Pixel3 running Android 10. I added my HP LaserJet printer without an issue,  But now I constantly get the message popup

"A change in Printer certificate was detected. Do you want to accept the new certificate? Accepting the new certificate is required for printer communication."

I click OK, and the message comes back a few seconds later. If I click cancel the message doesn't come back until I open the app again. I have un-installed the app, as well as rebooted the phone. I'm able to print from the phone without any problems.

I searched this forum for a similar question, I found one for a different model printer, and it mentioned installing a new version of firmware. I went ahead and re-installed the firmware for this printer from 2015. That did not fix the issue.

Any other help would be appreciated?

Hi @Samah

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Restart your wireless router, the printer, and your phone.

Check for any updates available for your Android phone.

Re-install the app from here. Follow the steps mentioned in this document to know how to print and scan.

Check if the error persists.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
