HP officejet pro

I can’t get my 8600 officejet pro to enable web services-it says it “cannot be enabled.” It’s online- I want to be able to print from Alexa, but if I can’t enable, them I can’t get an email address for the printer which Alexa requires. Help please! Been working 2 hours reading and trying!

@PTaiken, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Turning on Web Services allows your printer to communicate securely over the Internet with web-connected printing services, including HP ePrint cloud printing and HP Instant Ink delivery services.

Make sure the printer is connected to the Internet

On your control panel, press the HP ePrint icon or button.

  1. If your control panel does not have an HP ePrint icon or button, navigate to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings to open the Web Services menu.

    • If a Web Services Summary screen or connected status displays, Web Services is already on.

Example of Web Services Summary screen

    • If a prompt to turn on Web Services or setup HP ePrint displays, press Turn On, Enable, or Setup.

Example of clicking Setup to turn on Web Services.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn on Web Services. If you are prompted to update the firmware, press OK.

If the printer is still not able to connect to Web Services, follow the steps mentioned in this document.
