 I got it to connect once after 3 days of trying and I'm honestly not sure how (it connected while I was at work). We lost power due to a storm and I haven't been able to connect it since then which has been at least a week. I've searched the forums and haven't found a solution. I have done the HP scan doctor and still nothing. I've read and tried every instrustion given to me (in the booklet and the pages the printer print recommedations ).

@Chy1820,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

Let's try these steps here -

Network Restore - Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

If the router has a WPS push button, try these steps to connect the printer to the network -

1) Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for more than three seconds to start WPS push mode. The Wireless light starts blinking.

2) Press the WPS button on your router.

NOTE: THE MOMENT YOU PRESS THE WIRELESS BUTTON ON YOUR PRINTER, WITHIN 30 SECONDS YOU SHOULD PRESS THE WPS BUTTON ON THE ROUTER.

If this step is not successful, then we need to first connect the printer to a computer using a USB and then convert the wired connection to wireless as the printer does not have a control panel to enter the Wi-Fi password.

Please refer to this link for steps.

You may also try setting up the printer using your mobile device -

Hope this helps!

Let me know how that goes.

Thank you for the advice. I have tried to connect using the usb cord which wasnt successful even after following the  instructions several times. I followed the steps the printer printed to connect to a Iphone, the phone tried to connect but I couldn’t get the printer to print the code to go further due to not being able to connect to a network supposedly. My router doesn’t have a push button. I also reset my password to my router which it finally connected a few hours later ( I wasn’t home when it did though, just came home to find that it printed the pass page with the information). Then the storm came through and it can’t find a network now and won’t connect again. I made sure everything was correct (from the pages it printed when I pressed the buttons at the same time). I never had issues with my last HP printer and I’m honestly not sure what to do at this moment. It’s frustrated me so bad I don’t even want to try anymore.

@Chy1820,

In this scenario, I would personally suggest you contact our HP support team so that they diagnose if it's a software related or hardware related.

HP support can be reached on www.hp.com/contacthp

Select the product type.

Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

Select the country from the drop-down.

You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
