Print Size

My printer uses the same router as all my devices and shows as air print connected. All other devices work perfectly except my iphone - I can print but not A4 size.  It was ok until my iphone 7 was loaded and since then it will only print 3cm x 5cm in the corner of an A4 sheet.

I have asked for help from Apple but they won't touch it, although they know for months I have been unable to print properly from my mobile which is running IOS 11.2.6

Has anyone encountered this issue please and how have you been able to overcome it so it runs at full size A4 sheets?

Hi mogo1,

Apple AirPrint may have a lot of restriction when used on older model of printers which do not support configuration of paper size and paper type for latest Airprint specification.   An alternative for you would be to use HP Smart app to print the photo in A4 or Letter Size.

I understand that you're having problem on  printing using your phone which it prints thumbnail in A4 paper.

I would like to suggets if you can update your printers firmware,

I search in the net and found that your not the only one having this issues using same printer. If problem still exists after upgrade, you can try to use this HP Smart app. You can refer to this link on how to install on your phone:  https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03561640

Hi nothing worked until I loaded HP smart!! It’s all functional now! Thank you! Found I couldn’t use any upgrade at ios11 as there was nothing listed or offered.
