Hi I can print from my iphone or ipad, but the quality is very poor and is quite different from printing on desktop. Any suggestions?

To be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-
Which application are you trying to print from?
Are you using the HP Smart App or the AirPrint feature?
Did you make any changes to the printer or your iOS device recently?
Meanwhile, restart the devices. Check for any iOS updates. If you're using HP Smart App, remove it completely and reinstall.
Also, Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
