hp smart does not offer option to change to photo stock.  can this be done from the phone?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you

 

On the HP Smart App, touch on the print photo's tile to print  4x6, you will be able select the paper size and  type in print preview screen.

 

 You may refer to -Install and Use the HP Smart App (Android, Apple iOS, iPadOS)
