When I first got my printer recently it printed letter size from our iPhones and now it won't . It gives the error " NO PAPER IN PHOTO TRAY". My MAC prints fine to the printer. It's an HP 7640 all in one .Howcan I get it to change back to print regular paper. It needs to offer that option to change printer tray.

Hey there! @S2cookem, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you have issues printing from iPhone you are getting error NO PAPER IN PHOTO TRAY.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Please try the steps recommended below.

1. Verify the tray has been installed properly. To verify this open the System Preferences and go to Print & Fax. Open the print queue of your printer. Click on Printer Setup and from the tab menu choose Driver. Verify the box next to Optional Paper Input Tray is checked.

2. From the application used to print, click the File menu and select Print.
The Print window appears.
NOTE: The Print window might be minimized: Click the blue triangle next to the product model to see all available settings.

3. To select the Input Tray, click the lowest selection box listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.

4. Select Paper Type/Quality from the drop-down menu.

5. Set the Source option as the desired Input Tray.

You may save the settings for future use by clicking Presets > Save Current Settings as Preset.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Hi,

Printing a Photo using AirPrint from the Photo app will default to the photo tray and print as 4 x 6, that cannot be changed.

Download and print the photo with the HP AIO Remote app below, the app allow more configuration such as paper tray and size selection:

I have a mac computer. When I pull up system preferences, I only have a choice of printers and scanners, not PRINT AND FAX. When I open up the print queue, I don't have the choice of PRINTER SETUP, either or the ability to choose Driver. When I do go to print queue, however, it is telling me that the PAPER TRAY IS EMPTY, although I do have paper in it. It prints just fine from my mac computer but from my iphone it will only print from the photo tray. When I first got this printer, it printed from the letter tray.
