Greetings @ferulano15

Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are unable to print from your iPhone. Not to worry, I will be glad to help.

Are you able to print from other devices?

Are you facing any print quality issues?

Are the phone and the printer on the same network?

May I know the method you are using to print from your iPhone? Click here for the mobile printing options available.

Note: HP Printers do not work or connect to 5Ghz networks. If you are using a dual band router, please give different names to 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz networks and connect the printer to the 2.4Ghz network.

Any printer offline issue can be resolved by assigning a Static IP or manual IP address to the printer.

Please follow the procedure mentioned below to assign a manual IP to the printer.

  • Obtain the IP address of the printer (which can found by pressing the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel)
  • Enter the IP address on the web browser (Ex: chrome, IE) to enter the printer EWS page.
  • Go to the “Network” tab, click on “Wireless (802.11) then click on “Network address (IPV4)
  • Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you so much for this.  I spent hours trying to trouble shoot why the new dual band router was not allowing our iphones to print.  Kept getting the printer is off line message.  It would print with windows laptop and mac laptop but not phones.

Followed your instructions to connect to the 2.4 and not five and rename both bands.  It worked!

So glad I found this site and the answer!  Here's to happy printing!
