I'm having the same problem.  Purchased a Hp deskjet 2700 series that was advertised with a 6 month trial and when I signed up it defaulted to 3 months. I can't find where to private message anyone on here. Please help?

@KCrob, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are looking for free Instant Ink months. Did you activate HP+ while the printer setup?

Click here for more info. The 6 months will be credited if you opted for HP+

 

Once enrolled, the free months will automatically be credited to your Instant Ink account.

If not, please send me a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
