My wifi went out when a blackout happened. It got online afterwards, but I couldn't connect my printer to the wireless network until I bought a cable from Amazon and plugged my computer into the printer to share the wifi. On the Printer Status Report page, it says that my printer is connected to my wireless network, but the printer isn't enrolled in Instant Ink even though I just paid for another cycle this month. On top of that, the PIN number that I typed into my computer - the one that you can see from inside the printer where the ink cartridge is - isn't working. On my phone, when I try to set up my printer, it gets stuck on the "Time to install ink" page with the four steps/slides.


What can I do to solve this issue?

UPDATE: managed to set it up, but now it says "incompatible HP instant ink cartridge" on the mobile app, even though my printer is on the plan for instant ink.

I see that you are not able to use the Instant Ink cartridge due to this error. Make sure the printer is connected to the internet.

 

Have you checked your HP Instant Ink account page? Your Instant Ink account page will have notifications if there are any issues with the account or recent cartridge shipment, it will even provide solutions on how to fix the issue. You may log in to your HP Instant Ink account page from here.

 

If the suggested information can't be found, please send me a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
