I have the HP Envy 6400 and was using the ink program but was ending up with too much. I rarely print so I stopped my subscription. Now my printer doesnt work or connect - is HP disconnecting the ability to use my printer that I bought because I dont want to be enrolled in the ink program? Seems really sneaky and in a way I feel like I have had my money stolen from me because I bought my printer - full price. This is terrible.

Check Printer Connection

Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device.
  • Check the printer's Wi-Fi indicator light to confirm that it is connected to the network.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute before plugging it back in and turning it on.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device and try reconnecting to the printer.

Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that your printer is set as the default printer on your device.
  • Open the HP Smart app or HP Print and Scan Doctor to check for any issues and follow the instructions provided.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve connectivity issues.
