When setting up, I chose the free, 15 page per month option by accident. I bought the printer with the intent of using the 3 month trial of instant ink, but I don’t know whether or not I can use it as my printer is now set up.

Hi @BenBung
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the Instant Ink query.
Yes, you can still use your 3 free months. Change the plan to 50-page or above and that should resolve your problem. To change the Instant Ink plan, refer to this document - HP Instant Ink - Changing Your HP Instant Ink Plan
If the suggested information can't be found, please send us a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.
Click the “Kudos, Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!
Have a great day!
