I cancelled my instant ink subscription, on my tango x, over a year ago and never used the printer up until this week. I connected it and it states the ink cartridges but be part of an instant ink subscription. I spent 2.5 hours on the phone, trying to reset the printer, erase and install web services, but nothing helped. One representative stated I needed to buy a regular ink cartridge to reset the code but that defeats the purpose of enrolling my printer back on instant ink. Need some help!!!

Hi @Eltoro333,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Once you cancel your subscription, the instant ink cartridges do not work.
And here's what you need to know & do:
If you have an instant ink cartridge on your printer, remove it and discard that, you can only use regular cartridges on your printer once you cancel the program.
That said, if you have trouble using regular cartridges, I recommend you turn off the web service using the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536
when done successfully, check if it works fine.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
