I signed up for InstantInk on 6/12/21.   I am still waiting for my Welcome Kit containing the InstantInk cartridges.  The pages I have ALREADY printed with NON-InstantInk cartridges are showing up in my page count.  I have been unable to print for a week, as the cartridges that I previously used are empty, and I’m still waiting for the InstantInk cartridges.  AND The pages I printed with the non-InstantInk cartridges were added to my page count.   I was told that the pages wouldn’t be counted if I wasn’t using InstantInk cartridges.   So I already have 91 pages on my account, and I have not received any ink yet!   Can someone explain?  Thanks!

Our user Community has absolutely no influence over the way this works.

I cannot comment on what you might have been told.

We can provide an explanation to "What happened?"

 

Answer:

If the cartridges that came with the printer are "Instant Ink Ready", that is, the cartridges could be used with an Instant Ink subscription, then - if / when you subscribe to Instant Ink, these cartridges will be activated as Subscription Cartridges.

Sub-section 5d - Subscription Cartridges provided to you

 

PARTIAL excerpt (Please READ the contract for the full and latest information):

When you have created Your Service Account, the Service will automatically recognize and activate your HP cartridge as a “Subscription Cartridge”. If the printer You purchased came with Subscription Cartridges, carefully review the included written materials. Activated Subscription Cartridges may only be used in conjunction with the Service.

 

 

What else?

Receiving ink takes time - depending on the circumstances, perhaps "too much time".
