Hi @LennyB4,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your Black not printing issue with instant ink too. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • May I have the exact model name of the product? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Meanwhile please follow these troubleshooting steps

If your printer is not printing black ink even though the status shows that the ink is full, there are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue. Here are some suggestions:

Check Ink Cartridge:

  • Make sure the black ink cartridge is properly installed in the printer.
  • Check if there's any protective tape or cover on the cartridge that needs to be removed.

Printer Software:

  • Update your printer drivers to the latest version. Visit the printer manufacturer's website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Print a Test Page:

  • Use the printer's built-in self-test feature to print a test page. This can help determine if the issue is with the printer itself or with the computer/software.

Clean Print Heads:

  • Many printers have a utility for cleaning the print heads. Run this utility to clean the print heads and ensure that the ink is flowing properly.

Check Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the print settings are configured correctly. Check if the printer is set to print in color or grayscale. Make sure it's not set to print in a mode that uses only the color ink.

Run Printer Troubleshooter:

  • In Windows 11, you can use the built-in Printer Troubleshooter to identify and fix common printing problems. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Printer.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure that your operating system (Windows 11) is up to date. Sometimes, system updates can include fixes for printing issues.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your computer and reinstall it. This process can help refresh the printer configuration and settings.

Regarding the issue with Instant Ink showing that you're using up your page count with blank pages, this may be related to the printer settings or the way documents are being sent to the printer. Make sure your print jobs are not set to print blank pages inadvertently.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
