HP Envy Inspire 7258e All-in-One Printer

Suddenly tonight both my 7258 and my 7958 have started spooling and shooting out a blank page and then cutting off the actual print job. They started at the same time. Was there a weird update or something? I have tried aligning them, cleaning heads, shutting down, unplugging, shutting down my computer. Nothing is working and now I am without a printer at all.

@Jackzmommie, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Experiencing issues with both your HP All-In Plan Printer and Instant Ink Printer at the same time can be frustrating. It's unlikely that a simultaneous spooling issue across both devices is due to a random event, but there could be a few common factors causing it. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps:

Possible Causes:

  1. Recent Updates: A firmware or driver update might have affected the printer's performance.
  2. Network Issues: If both printers are connected to the same network, a recent change in network settings might be causing the problem.
  3. Software Conflicts: The HP Smart App and printer drivers might have encountered a conflict.

Check for Recent Updates:

  • Ensure that your printers have the latest firmware updates. You can check for updates in the HP Smart app.
  • Update the printer drivers on your computer. Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer models.

Reset Printing System:

  • On your computer, reset the printing system which can sometimes resolve spooling issues.
    • On Windows, go to Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer and select "Remove device." Then restart your computer and add the printer again.
    • On Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click your printer and select "Reset Printing System."

Check Network Connections:

  • Make sure both printers are properly connected to your network.
  • Restart your router to ensure there are no network-related issues.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • If using HP Smart App, uninstall it and reinstall to ensure there are no software conflicts.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
