Hi all,

I can't tell exactly, since when this problem occurs, but for some weeks now, I can't login to HP Smart on my mobile device (Google Pixel 6 Pro, Android 12) from within the HP Smart App, or directly in a browser (Chrome as well as Firefox). The error message says: Invalid username or password. On my laptop (running MacOS Catalina) I can login without any problems. Password is filled out by my password manager (Bitwarden, same account on the mobile device as on the laptop).

 

Is this a known problem? Are there any fixes or workarounds?

I'd like to help!

 

I understand you are unable to sign in to your HP Smart app on your mobile phone.

 

 Are you able to print using the app?

 

meanwhile, Try the steps below-

 

1) Restart your phone and the printer

  and then check if the issue occurs, try a browser to login to HP Smart web account

2)Uninstall the app and restart your phone

3) Install the app and try again

Hi Jay_G24,

 

thank you for your quick reply. In the meantime, I've found the cause of my problem: the username (my email address) is not filled in by the password manager but is auto completed by Gboard keyboard on my mobile phone. Unfortunately, auto completion adds a blank at the end, which I've totally overlooked all the time 😞 If I remove the blank, everything works like a charm.

 

I don't understand, why form input isn't trimmed. Would be a nice enhancement to the login form.
