Why do I always have to print a printer alignment page when I change cartridges. Is there a way to turn this off?

The alignment page is necessary to set the proper operating energy for the cartridge as well as calibrate the alignment between black and color as well as bidirectional alignment.  You need to do this for proper operation of the printer, it cannot be disabled.
